Asus Vivobook 15 clears military-grade durability test, adds webcam shield

Asus's new Vivobook 15 laptop has cleared MIL-STD 810H durability testing and includes a physical webcam privacy shield.

Asus’s newly launched Vivobook 15 has cleared MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability testing, which the company cites as proof of the laptop’s build quality. The device also includes a physical webcam shield for privacy, alongside a backlit keyboard with a dedicated Copilot key and fingerprint login built into the touchpad.

The Vivobook 15 is the first laptop in India to run on Intel’s new Core 5 Series 3 processor, which comes with an integrated Intel AI Boost NPU rated at 16 TOPS. It is paired with 16GB of DDR5 memory, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD and Wi-Fi 6.

The laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD anti-glare display with 45% NTSC colour coverage, and at 1.7kg with a 17.9mm profile, Asus is positioning it as suited for daily commutes.

It is available exclusively on Amazon and Flipkart in three colourways — Cool Silver, Quiet Blue and Terra Cotta — starting at Rs 1,07,990, with Windows 11 Home pre-installed and a one-year Asus global warranty with onsite domestic support.
