A Gurugram-headquartered fleet management company, Carrum Mobility, has expanded into Kolkata, marking its first move into the eastern India market.
The company, which provides cars to ride-hailing platforms, has partnered with Uber to onboard drivers in the city as part of the launch.
Carrum Mobility currently operates more than 4,500 vehicles across Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune and Bengaluru, offering services including driver-partner onboarding, vehicle maintenance, compliance management and day-to-day fleet operations for ride-hailing platforms.
In Kolkata, the company has launched a ‘structured onboarding programme’ for driver-partners that covers vehicle handling, safety practices and platform training, according to founder and CEO Karan Jain.
Jain said Carrum Mobility, founded in 2024, provides business-to-business mobility solutions to ride-hailing platforms and is currently operating at an annualised revenue run rate of Rs 400 crore. ‘We aim to onboard around 1,000 driver partners in the city over the next 12 months,’ he said.
The Kolkata launch extends Carrum Mobility’s presence to six cities nationwide as it continues building out its driver-partner network for ride-hailing platforms.
